The Global Alliance for Laudato si’ is excited to announce a new teaching institute intended for university instructors that will take place at the Borgo Laudato si’ in January 2027. The Institute is rooted in the Papal encyclical Laudato si’: Care for our Common Home, and draws upon its relationship to an encompassing vision of sustainability to support the development of new curricular innovations that advance a better future for people and the planet. The objective of the Institute is for each instructor to develop a new course syllabus that can be tailored and used to offer instruction that advances the vision of the Laudato si’ at participants’ home institutions.

Participants will be required to cover their own travel costs, as well as a $1,000 fee to offset the costs of meals, lodging, and course materials. Some support is available for participants who do not have other sources of funding for their participation. Applicants who require financial support should indicate in their application the amount of support they would need to participate.

Dates: January 11-15, 2027

Location: Borgo Laudato Si’, Castel Gandolfo, Italy
