Hannah Legatzke

Biography

As Program Manager for the University of Notre Dame Just Transformations to Sustainability (JTS) Initiative, Hannah supports action-oriented sustainability research across the research lifecycle and facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration among the JTS Initiative networks. She works particularly closely with the Midwest Sustainability Platform for Research and Curricular Innovation and the Sustainability Postdoctoral Fellows Society.

Hannah brings experience coordinating community-based action research for sustainable development including extensive field work experience living and working with Guatemalan Maya Forest communities. In previous roles across higher education, non-governmental, and non-profit sectors, she has built cross-disciplinary partnerships and translated data insights into action recommendations for organizations. Hannah joins the JTS Initiative from The Institute for Study Abroad, where she served as Research Analyst.

Hannah holds a PhD in Natural Resource Sciences and Management from the University of Minnesota and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, where she majored in Environmental Sciences and Anthropology.
